Our Services
We design and facilitate gatherings that help groups achieve meaningful outcomes by creating the conditions for authentic engagement. While many associate facilitation with sticky notes, our approach goes deeper - drawing on diverse perspectives, psychology, and participatory methods. We create spaces where energy shifts, people feel seen, and teams align in ways that spark collaboration, clarity, and action.
Strategic plans often fall short - whether rushed, developed without meaningful engagement, or thoughtfully written but missing the energy that brings them to life.
Our approach is different! Through our provocative, hands-on approach, we get people up and moving. We create a safe environment for team members to be honest. The result? An energizing strategy grounded in alignment. A plan that people have built together with passion.
We’ve spent considerable time refining what makes our approach different. Our bridge building methodology is grounded in proven practices that allow for honest, substantive conversations that help teams develop a deeper, shared understanding of where they are, where they want to go, and how they will get there, together.

Our bridge building training begins with intention - understanding your context and needs. We use participatory leadership to fully engage every voice. For example, our custom training has focused on helping people navigate across differences, build facilitation and listening skills, and communicate through visual tools like “Line as Language.”

Program design is the art of creating meaningful learning experiences. We work with organizations and groups to shape educational journeys that foster strong learning communities, blending participatory practices, collective sensemaking, and experiential approaches that invite people to learn by doing, reflecting, and connecting. We believe that the land can be both host and teacher and when it aligns with context and goals we love to integrate land-based elements.

Our Impact
Bridge Building supported the conversation in a way that provided direction toward a goal that was set by the committee, getting into details when needed and pulling the conversation back to the goal when necessary, but also with openness and consideration for the needs of the committee.

Jane was a great facilitator, able to hold space incredibly well through tense and emotionally turbulent conversations, moved us along seamlessly but also let things unfold as they needed to. I was amazed that we actually made it through each agenda item as there was so much listed. But it was the right amount of timing and her professionalism kept things on track.

Bridge Building Group created a safe space that allowed all of our team's voices to be shared and amplified. For a team like ours that works primarily remote, it was amazing to be together in a room and to connect. Melissa and Jessica were able to transform our thoughts into a path forward where we could all walk together and grow our organization.

I really needed someone to bounce ideas off, help me refine my goals, and strategize the best way forward. Jane's office hours were perfect. The result was a stronger event that really hit all of our objectives. Thank you!

Bridge Building group has been extremely helpful and supportive. They are a very organized and professional team… [their] facilitation skills are great, they are diligent with time management and making sure everyone around the room has a voice. They are also able to clearly follow along with and understand topics discussed around the table. Their follow-up reporting skills are also great, and the documents provided are very useful to our team.
“Whaaat! I have never experienced strategic planning like this. No way. I didn’t think we’d ever get here today. This is amazing!

Jane was fantastic, and did an excellent job keeping the group on topic and making space for discussion as needed. Which is a challenging task for a group of scientists
Support that was given to help coordinate and organized improved how [we] presented as professional and intentional in working towards gathering and building consensus. The ability to collaborate and help determine an effective use of the 1-day in person, to help build an agenda with a cohesive flow (as possible given the ambiguity of some subject matter).
The ability to keep track of live discussions and organize the verbal brainstorming into a flow of organized information in real time is incredibly valuable. While the days long conversation can feel erratic or frantic or frustrating at the worst of times, the outcomes of the conversation and the way it builds from an open dialogue into useful actions, consensus, and progress in building the components of the work.
Beyond getting the project moving along, the other most important aspect is the ability to mediate, to build bridges over sometimes daunting waters. Making those agreed connections and helping to smooth path forward was great.
The team ensured the space was welcoming and comfortable. They were well organized and confident in their work. I greatly appreciate the opportunity for networking and open discussion, flexibility in scheduling while remaining on task, the summary of discussions, and the visual highlights. Great facilitation team!
